Spring comes in Japan

Hi readers & followers.

It is that time of year when we feel a hint of spring in the midst of the cold weather. I was not the only one who felt that the cold wave in February was unusually severe. We had several days of snow last week, In Japan, there is an event called “Setsubun” in March.

Setsubun is one of Japan’s traditional events and has the meaning of “dividing the seasons. Originally, Setsubun meant the day before the change of the four seasons (Risshun, Risshatsu, Risshu, and Risshunyu), but since the Edo period (1603-1867), it has come to mean the day before Risshun in particular.

This is because Japanese culture and climate formed a custom of celebrating the arrival of spring in a special way.

I think most Japanese families finally feel the end of winter and the beginning of spring with the arrival of Setsubun.

I feel as if each year is passing by very quickly, thinking “Oh, another year has already passed since then! I feel that each year goes by very quickly.

Time for the ”SAKURA”, we may start reconizing the colors of the pink on each parks and natures. A sign of the “sakura” is actually a new beginning for Japanese people.

Because an April is a new school year for Japanese people and a new school year for schools. The commencement and graduation ceremonies are just around the corner. feel like we do. thanks
